knife show clout...

Don't you just hate it when you arrived at a knife show two hours in advance, got a good place in line, only to have your excitement melt away when you see members of a certain knife club be allowed admission an hour in advance of everyone else? Don't you wish you had the same clout? I had just that experience on opening day at the New York Custom Knife Show. I arrived two hours early and was already third in line. An hour before the show, members and honorary members of the Knifemakers' Guild were allowed to enter. Yipes! I thought to myself that a knife I would have wanted would probably be gone. These people didn't even have to stand in line. I recognized some of them as dealers and purveyors. I wonder if us Bladeforums.com members could someone gather similar standing and clout for future knife shows.

I would think that the only way we could get clout is if we put on a knife show ourselves.

Hey Greg If I am not mistaken, Les offered to get Honorary Memberships to anyone who requested one. It is $10 a year but thats better than waiting in line. Glad to hear you got more Busse Proto knives.

Stay Well
