Visited the same show that I went to a couple years ago, seemed smaller, fewer tables, fewer Benchmade and Spyderco knives, more collector razors and the ubiquitous clones, odd custom knives. A lot of stories for sale.

Fun show with the usual jerks and mostly nice sellers.

I saw a LFK at a table... Then saw the $150 price tag, didn't look again.
Saw a 741, no price tag, but I was compelled to ask, ended up getting it for a good price.

Best part was after the show, I was hanging out and sharpening knives... And traded my Sage 1 for a Darkstar!

Best part was hanging with a good guy, eating well and having a couple beers while playing with sharp knives.

Sounds like you had fun J., the Darkstar has been on my list for years. If your Sage 1 was a good trade for it that's cool too!

Nice score on the Darkstar! A real classic BM from back in the day. I have a Sentinel (same family) and love it. Very solid well made knives that have a touch of class.

Nice find!

I agree, I was almost ready to buy/trade for his auto spike as well.

Elishewitz has always had some classy knives.

I dunno crap about, dollar value, I do know we were and are happy about the trade, he got a Sage 1 with a fresh edge off of the edge pro and killer lockup and I got a Benchmade that really appeals to me as a 3550 lover.

When I get my knives back with me, I just might have to look at some further trades.

Turns out it's a good biking knife as well, TI and g-10 keep the weight down and the thin handles are great.

I'm very happy with the trade. I've been sitting on the couch flipping the Sage for two solid days now. :) looking forward to the next knife show. Hopefully I'll be able to find some cool toys there!

Absolutely! I tossed the 741 on the EP, took out the dings, sitting in my pocket now.

I was really impressed with the liner lock on that Sage, perfect from the factory.

Maybe next time I'll rent a table so we can get in early for a better chance at good knives and show off what the edge pro can do. Maybe even fix up blades for the other dealers who are selling some knives with seriously jacked up edges.

Has your EP arrived yet?
