I hope its ok to start this thread here, if I'm wrong please excuse me.
I've been making knives part-time for over 10 years now and I have recently learned that i'll be losing my job in the next couple of months. I've wanted to try going full time for a while but it seemed like insanity to even think about quiting a very good paying job to try to make it as a full-time maker, well that problem has been taken care of by the upcoming layoffs.
Anyway, while i still have the job, i'd like to start preparing for going full time and what i was hoping you all could help me with was gathering infomation on upcoming shows. I have only been doing 1 knife show per year for the last 5 or 6 years and i've lost touch with much of the knife comunity. So if anyone has information about a web site to find show info or if you have a show you like, please post the show city, aproximate date and contact info. I Think I can do 1 show per month depending on the travel time required and throw in some regional gun shows when i have time.
Thanks
Les
