Went to the knife show in Cambridge Ohio yesterday and these two came home. How much do you think I spent?

If you guessed a C bill for both, then you are correct. The Schrade has been with me all day. Since I don't have any knives that I don't use, I will put the XX in the Sunday church rotation.

I like the look of those knives, the xx is a great looking knife, ok...help me out here please, I havent seen a lot of sheep foots with the slight serration, what was the main purpose of this blade? I know its handy having a serrated blade-they cut what straight edges struggle with at times, especially when its rope or in my case, I have these fine flax bushes in my garden...absolute pains to cut back...until I get out my serrated blade-it just rips through...but I havent seen that style of blade with them ( or has my head been buried in the sand too long ) :D

I have no idea myself. I just liked the look of it.

Those are both real nice but I really like that Case Classic! What's the pattern number on that beauty?

Schrade also produced a 'Master Mechanic' series of knives, one of which was a large stockman (89OT) with a serrated sheepsfoot. I'm guessing, in that case, the serrations were intended for something like rubber hose or cable ties. Could be useful for that.

I picked up a Case Classic Moose recently. I really like the look of it! I hope to use it on a deer this year (if I get one!).

Those knife look very nice.

Nixleplix - what is the fishing knife? Is that a weight to hit them in the head with or a spoon to help clean them?

It's a Puma 501 Waggemesser. The ball on the end is a "priest" to give the last rites to the fish! It also doubles as a counter-balance for a pivot balance. You hang the fish off of the notches on the back of the blade to get its weight.

Thread drift! To be more on topic- I think the serreted edge on NAB's Schrade sheepfoot blade is great! The knife offers up all sorts of blade options with that. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for a similar one! :)

Both knives are beautiful pieces. Great taste and maybe one in each pocket at church.:D

I bring 3 knives to church. A slipjoint, a modern folder and there is always the trusty Leatherman. I prolly could get by with just the Leatherman, but I am a very complex individual.
