Just an FYI that there will be a Knife Show sponsored by the NCCA on Sunday, July 29th at the Holiday Inn in Marlboro, MA.

You can get more show info at: www.ncca.info

Thanks,
CM

I might be able to come to that. I won't be able to buy anything, but it would sure be nice to meet some of you guys.

I went to NCCA Knife Show in Mystic in May, it was only half a size to compare to last year :(

Do you guys know if children are welcome at these shows? I'll have my kids on this date. They are 9 and 10. They both love knives and admire and handle my collection regularly. I know they would be psyched to go to a show. I'm just not sure if they would be welcome. Any thoughts on the subject are appreciated.

Yup, I am definitely coming to the show.

Colog: I do not see why your kids couldn't come to the show.

I saw few children at the NCCA show in Mystic.

When I lived in MA, I went to these shows. Usually I had a pretty good time.
There were usually a few well-behaved children walking around with their parents.

I would imagine that children running wildly around, or unaccompanied by a parent, would not be welcome, if only for safety's sake.

Colog, if your children appreciater knives and can follow the rules, especially about handling them, I am sure that they would be welcome. Don't forget, these
are future customers.

I'll be making it. I've seen a bunch of kids there. All have been well behaved and polite. You wouldn't believe one kid with his two new Siskas...

I went to this show last year, with my 11 year old son!! He had a good time. As a matter of fact, the people running the CRKT table had their son working, he was quite the salesman.

Definitely appropriate for kids, just make sure they are aware of knife show etiquette.

I might be there, but I'm going sheep herding on Saturday with the dogs, that usually wipes them and me out.

Shaldag, I wish you were around!! I would love to see you at the Marlboro show!!

I hope you do make it to the show on Sunday DaveH.
