Hi-may be going to Vegas show-As a general rule are show prices higher or lower than the net?

Hi godot,
It depends. Handmades are usually going to be pretty close to internet prices. You may occasionally score a deal at a show. John Greco is known for selling his knives for next to nothing at shows, for one.
Production knives also vary, but sometimes (like at the Tulsa Arms Show) you can find a few dealers who are selling them just above cost.

Hope I helped.

At Blade I noticed that in general the shaow prices were higher but you get to hand pick it.

Across the board, you can probably get a better price on line if you shop around for the best deal. There are some deals to be had at the shows if you know your prices and barter a little. Many dealers at the shows will drop the price a little if you make a fair offer. But don't insult them. It is nice to handle the knife and know exactly what your getting. Best to price shop on line for what you are interested in and you are then prepared for the show prices.

I haven't done any big shows, just a lot of private seller ones up here... usually they'll do 10% under what they have it marked as. some may even take 25% off if you ask right.
