Today I went to a small knife show in Bethalto, Illinois. I picked up a new Benchmade Nakamura. This knife looks and feels great. It has an axis lock, black G-10, and M390 steel. The action is super smooth and lock up is as usual with an axis lock, tight. It is slightly bigger than a mini griptilian.

Nice! Did you get a good deal, or did you pay "Knife Show" prices?

I'm going to my first knife show next weekend (Shenandoah, VA), are "show prices" usually high? Was hoping to find some Kershaws or Ontarios to bring home.

The guy that had it sells BM, spyderco,ZT . He had a gold class Osborne 940 for $300.00 BNIB!!!

The Gun & Knife Shows here in Michigan used to have much better prices (on everything) back in the day. These days, everything is overpriced, especially knives. But, on the plus side, you can find stuff you won't find anywhere else, you can inspect it before buying, and you can have it today.

I go to that show each year, I would guess 75% of stuff is priced high, but you can find things at a good value. ex. I found a small BG42 Subenza born around 1997 or 1998 (can't remember) for 350.00. I passed and later I wanted to rip myself a "new one" for not getting it. So just look at everything closely.

How thick is it in the hand? Slim like a PM2 or thicker like a Grip or Barrage?

In the thicker side like a barrage. Very contoured and secure in the hand
