Got back home just in time to make it to my clubs show, the Wolverine Knife Club annual show. Wow. I always really enjoy it.
Found nothing to sell on my own, most of the dealers in used/antique/collectible knives are pretty sharp, and prices are about 25 percent more than say Ebay. That is usual for this kinda show. Smaller knife and gun shows do pay off for me.
Kinda cool... some members just display their knives, nothing for sale, something I like to do when I have a table at a small show. Very cool. Saw the biggest Fight'n Rooster collection, and a funny one from a five year old kid: A nicely made up display of toy knives that was very impressive. Saw a "Collection of One" it was called... and it consisted of a single Michael Price dagger with it's silver sheath. I would settle for that (who knows, maybe $20,000? It was a nice one).
I break here for Schrade content: I saw plenty.
Lots of custom/handmade/benchmade knives, which is what I was in the mood to buy. Had to find one that (A) I could afford, and (B) 'talked to me'. It was really easy to find. I carry a notebook at these affairs, and jot down what interests me, so I can go back and buy it. But finally, I found my knife. Made and sold to me by this fellow right here, a native of my own state:

I has a stabilized burl maple handle, it's a single edge fixed stiletto 8" long. This scan won't do it justice. D2 tool steel, Rockwell hardness of 59, heat and cryo treated by a pro. Amazingly sharp. Elegant and deadly looking. It will be a user, something handy to carry in the woods. Here's a quick scan that does not do the blade justice.
Saw beautiful scrimshaw work, lots of beauty blades, lots and lots of old knives, and learned a bunch as well.
'Scuse me... I have to go post some stuff on ebay to pay for it.
