Hello everyone!

Here are some photos of what I scored today at my local gun show. About 15 years ago I started collecting slip joints and one of my first scores was a Bob Cargill Cripple Creek Knife World 1982 knife. Well, I was stupid and traded all my slip joints for tactical knifes years later. About two weeks ago I was talking to a knife dealer would was a big slip joint collector and I mentioned that I wish I still had that knife. I guess I finally found favor because today I found my long lost knife :) I swear its the one I traded 15 years ago!! Has the same serial# on the blade!! I paid $40 dollars for it because it had stains on the blade the vendor said he couldn't get them out. Well, I didn't care because I had to have it. I also traded a tactical knife for a nice little Case XX in red bone :) I took the CC home and applied some rust remover for the heck of it and BINGO!! the stain came off!!!! A little polishing and its like new again :) Just wanted to share my story for the day. Enjoy my bad Iphone photos :)

That Cripple Creek turned out great! What a beauty. Same for the Case but the CC is a beaut. I've been lucky enough to get some knives back that I traded but that is too cool!

You know what? I just realized that its number 0046/2000 and I just turned 46 this month, on the 9th :) Twilight Zone......

You did a great job cleaning them up. Both are good looking knives.
The C.C. is pretty special and the Case is SWEET. Happy Belated Birthday.
Wonderful Watch.

Good Carma! A good clean up job as well and you didn't even lose the blade etch, or is it an engraving?

Nice job OP; I too sold off or gave away a lot of traditionals a few years back, and acquired a collection of impractical tacticals...I have sold off and given away all these soulless beasts, save for one ESEE and one Becker (both fixed blades)and one ESEE folder, and have been on a 3 month long quest to restore my traditional collection. So far, all are new, with one golden oldie in the mix, and if I get lucky, like you, I may find myself right back where I once was.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm working on learning how to clean up/restore these treasures. I found some more today, but I'll post pics later :)

Here are the pictures of the knives I picked up this weekend at the flea market and gun show. I am having a lot of fun finding these :)
I got it BAD!!!

The second knife is a Case Tested XX and I wish it wasn't in that condition, but I bought it for a $1 and figured I could use it to
learn how to make my own handles and learn how to pin a knife together. Where is a good place to buy the materials I will need?

Here is a picture of the Case in the center of the above photo. I cleaned up the blades a little and the bone. I need to learn better methods of
polishing a blade, but just a start.
