Went to a Knife Show in Seattle last fall.
almost everyone ther was wearing T I E S and sport coats. Is this normal? I thought I was at a funeral or something.

It sure IS.

The coats are to conceal the AWAC inverted carries.

Just at show end, the ties are used for precision, free-hanging, single-swipe cut tests.

If there is any blood left on the remaining piece of tie, that knifemaker is disqualified from that event.

SHEESHHHHHHH! Newbies!

What show was it that you went to? I went to the CMWE in Bellevue a bunch of weeks ago, and everyone seemed pretty casually dressed. I really enjoyed that show, but wasn't ready to spend high dollars on knives at the time. Too bad there aren't any shows for a while, because I'm now itching to get my first custom.

Lynn,
I really like your knives, I just don't think it would be a good idea to carry a fixed blade around campus. Maybe if you get into folders.
