I live in SO CALI, there is a knife show next week about an hour drive from me. Is a knife show is a good place to buy knives??? Do they give better prices at the show. Then when you look online??? I been looking at the BK9 or BK7. Or maybe if i find something more intresting.

I have seen some good prices, and some bad ones, at shows. It helps if you know beforehand what the item is worth. It is also about the easiest place to dicker on the price, and you will find all kinds of gidgets. You may not save much, but it is usually worth the 6-8 bucks just to go look around.:)

Thanks Any Cal. I been checking prices on diffrent knives on the net for about a month now. I figured at the show i could also see how the knife feels in my hand before i buy it.

The benefit of a knife show is interaction with custom makers IMO. Thats whats so great about Blade Show here in ATL. There are so many knives its hard to take in. But the people, the wisdom in the room, the handle materials, etc. Sweet.

I think I'll go to that too. Maybe Friday though, early.

Thanks for the info.

Oh and I know it sucks but the excuse of pink eye always works!:o ;)

Nothing less then shooting my self in the foot would even come close to get out of it.

I think you are talking about the show in Pasadena. I've been, and have found some good prices.

yes thats the one i would like to go to. Maybe i could get there a Bk7 or 9 or bk2. I would like to try the bushman too. Im not looking for 20knifes. just one that would work for and i would be happy. Im also looking at the RAT7. Maybe if i go there and get to see how they feel???

The show is in Pasadena. I'm going to be there. It's a good place to see and handle many knives especially handmade knives. it's also a great time to talk to the makers. If you're really into knives you'll have fun there. I know I do.

Went this morning (Sunday). Had a pretty good crowd there.
Didn't see any knives I had to have. Mostly custom and vintage collectable knives and knife making supplies.
Was looking for Mora's but didn't see any and I didn't see any Beckers either.
Picked up a small tin of Renaissance Wax and a nylon storage wallet for a folding knife.
Guess I'll just wait for the next Costa Mesa gun show (Mar 24-25). Hopefully, the couple selling Mora knives at the last show will be there.

Hi 2Blades, I didnt make it had to take about 12 kids to horse back riding with only 2 of them ever been on a horse. But it was a fun day and later i took them geocaching.
Any way it would be cool if you could remind us about the Gun show a week before just in case. Do they have a good varity of knifes at the show??
