i found it

scott cook...Lochsa

I have one on order. It is a 2 year wait!! Which is fine with me, as that gives me plenty of time to save for it!! Mine will have dual thumb studs and will have S90V.

are u serious??? 2 years??

sounds like scott should take on an apprentice

Yes, I am very serious!! To me, it is so worth the wait!! I am stoked!!

Check out the Alias I & Alias II from Bradley Cutlery Company as a lower cost alternative to the Sebenza. If they are put together as nicely as the Mayhem, I have one of these, then they are surely winners!

I ordered one in Feb 2004 and still have not received notice that it's ready! I may get it and turn around and sell it...haven't made up my mind yet whether or not I want to keep it. ;)

I don't know what the price is at a retailer but ordered one about three months ago and Scotts price is $500 with a two year wait.

Price on a standard Lochsa starts at $490.00 as per Mr. Cook's E-mail to me.

Thanks for the prices! Lessee, $500 (just to round up) =

365 days x 2 years = 730 days.

$500 / 730 days = 0.68493 (or ~ 0.69) cents a day.

Heck, I think that's doable. Hmm.... Where's my order sheet?!?

:D

Two years? If he gets much farther out he may do like a lot of guys and just stop taking orders until he can fill what he has. Russ Komer got that busy and left some hanging. I was one of them. Never got the knife I ordered. That was back in Oct. of 1998.

It says in the specs phosphorus bronze washers for Scotts folder. Does Scott not use a bushing like in the Sebenza?

STR

Scott does use bushings. Both his bushings and washers are phospher bronze whereas the sebenza has phospher bronze washers and a steel bushing. Not that one is inferior over the other, just noting the differences.
