Knife size comparison

My new Zytel Ti-Lite came in today. Just a few pictures to show it's size compared to some other pretty well known models. Left to right...

Spyderco Dodo, Spyderco Manix (large model), Emerson Benchmade (large model), CS Titanium Ti-Lite, CS Zytel Ti-Lite.

If you choke up on the grip you can get both hands on it, lol. I wasn't expecting it to be so massive, figured it would be like the slim Ti model w/a longer blade. Anyway, a lot of knife for <$60. I'll leave it in the car, kind of a short sword :)
 
That looks like a tough user! I never expected it to be so big. I thought that the Manix was big enough... How long is the blade?

Taking a close look at the Manix and Ti-Lite shows the SS liners to be the same width, and the blades look to have the same maximum thickness. The Ti-Lite Zytel grip is ~ 3x thicker than the G10 grip on the Manix. The liner lock looks pretty robust. Fit and finish on the Ti-Lite is just excellent. The Manix has been the sharpest knife out of the box I've owned (scary sharp, and still is). The Ti-Lite is right there with the Manix, maybe a 9 vs Manix 10. I'm going to order a few more of the Ti-lites. My brother really liked this knife when he saw it yesterday. Plus, I want the current model before CS "upgrades" it (the 2008 "Titanium" Ti-Lite has Al handles).

My understanding is that they will still offer the Zytel version...which is good, because the positive grip/retention/handling characteristics of the Zytel scaled Ti-Lite are superb, far better than the aluminum/titanium models.
 
It makes a great impact stick when closed- the wings rip the hell out of a target. I love that the clip is smaller than many other clips, so it looks like a smaller blade in the pocket- and actually carries well in pocket too as it is very narrow.
