I just started making knives back in the beginning of summer. I've learned a great deal from reading around different online forums, and I've tried to refine my methods with each new knife. The slide show starts with my most recent knife and works it's way back to the first one I made. All of them are O1 steel except for the first one which was A2. I use an Evenheat kiln for heat treating, and I grind them on a modified grizzly 2X72 grinder. I built my own etcher from a lab power supply kit.

Hope you enjoy the pictures! :D

I can make one in a full day with the tools I have at my disposal. If I really worked at it I could possibly do as many as 3. But I'd worry about getting them out of the kiln and into the quench fast enough to heat treat more than 3 at a time.

The thing that would slow me down is making sheaths for them all. I can do one sheath while they are heat treating. But then it's back to finish grinding and contouring the handles. A sheath takes me maybe 3 hours from start to finish.
