Knife smith?

I love combat knives. I would like to be able to make some designs for myself. Does anyone have any info, web sites, advice, pointers, tips or any kind of help about getting started, like what kind of equiptment is needed to get started ect. ect. Thanks.

My suggestion, look down and to the left, do you see that bar that says Forum Jump ? Click on that, scroll down two to Shop Talk, then press GO! Once you get there you will find all the information you could ever want to answer your questions. Don't be afraid to use the Search Function, next to Home on the grey bar of buttons in the upper right. There is so much information that has already been written here it will take you months and you'll learn more than you expect.
