After some serious thought, I'm going back to square one. I just ordered a Sodbuster! In my younger days, this was my favorite knife and I just realized something---that folder never failed me. Do I Really need a one-handed-knife? No. But, I might have STR put a pocket clip on that Soddie! Thanks.

just ordered 2 case soddies,,one is gonna be my edc,,cant go wrong with one

Good thought. I carried a number of different folders over the years. You know the next best thing syndrome. I always came back to my Case Trapper, just like the one my grand-daddy carried. As a matter of fact it's in my pocket now. (Maybe a boys true first love is never really forgotten).

Gentlemen---Thanks for the replies! True words were spoken. Enjoy your "classics", whichever style you carry.

One thing is sure, them thin slippie blades cut well.

I wonder if Tom could regrind a Soddie? :D

It's fun to go "retro" every now and then.

AllenC---Nice Opie! Boker makes them too, I just found out.
Zero---LOL!!

I have always wanted a Case Barlow like I had as a little boy, but with modern updates, namely locking (S30V) blade, flipper guard, & one hand open. Some would probably think that an abomination, but for me I don't deny that newer is usually better. Otherwise, we can all go back to stone knives.

I have a maker in mind who could do a good job with this, and one of these days I'll see him at a show and try to get it done.
