I know of the Spyderco SpyderPac but I HATE Velcro. Are there any other brands? Does anyone have any other ideas, like a tackle box or similar? I would prefer a soft case but a hard case has some merits too. BTW, I'm talking about pocket knives.
I'm sure that this is a common problem among knife nuts... You just start with one or two, and pretty soon you have 30, 40, 50 or more knives in your collection. I looked around a bit for storage solutions and didn't find anything that worked perfectly so I decided to build my own. Took me about 3 weekends to complete. Its a locking wooden chest with bulk storage on top and pull out, felt-lined drawers for knives.. I made different sized compartments for folders and long compartments to store autos in an open position.
The only drawback is that its a bit hefty to tote around....
Nice solution there Cook. I'll bet I can find a reasonably priced tool box similar to this, give it some interesting paint and drawer pulls, to make it look like furniture and put it right in my living room or bedroom and it will blend in. I don't want to carry it anywhere.
Vegas Nick, check out kershaw's website if you don't feel like making one. Their bags hold up to 18 knives each, zip closure. Mine have the ZT logo, but i think you can get it with the Kershaw logo as well.
