Knife storage in sheath

Whats up guys?

Im wondering if I keep my fixed blades lightly oiled with clp and keep them
in kydex/plastic sheaths will it be a problem will rust? I keep my other blades with leather sheaths unsheathed because of moisture but I want to know does this matter with kydex/plastic? How do you do it?
 
I haven't had any issues with synthetics - it's the leather-on-blade that you have to be concerned about. And that goes for knives and pistols.
 
Should be no problem with hard plastic or kydex sheathes.

The issue with leather is not only the moisture, but the chemicals used in treating the leather. Never had it affect a blade, but the leather often causes a green corrosion (aka "verdigris") with brass bolsters and fittings.
