Knife Storage?

Just curious about how people store their knives. I've been needing to get something for my knives, but I'm not looking to spend a ton.

I have a small colection, so my carbon steel knifes and knifes that don't get used as much are put in a little mettal box. Right next to it I keep my main knifes normaly in the box they came with.

I picked up 4 or 5 plastic boxes from home depot, sold together. Kind of like fishing lure boxes, work great for most of my folders.

This. I use Plano tackle boxes, the clear stackable kind. The large ones go for 5-6$$ at Sally World. You can configure the dividers as you like and the see through nature lets me find knives quickly.

I used to use a wooden machinist's chest. But then I figured that since most of my knives are modern, I needed something a little more up to date. So I got a decent looking tool box with sliding padded drawers. Mine was $40 at a local store and it works just fine. Sure, if I put ALL my knives in it I would need something larger, but who puts all their knives away? I always have several scattered around the house for fondling and playing with. But this is the home base:

I use the large tray up top for sheaths, lanyards, batteries and other paraphernalia, top drawer is edc stuff:

Middle drawer for lights that are too big for edc:

Bottom drawer for various fixed blades:

Overall, I'm really liking this setup. It's not bad looking, not expensive (similar tool boxes can be had anywhere from $30-50) and it's portable in case I ever need to evacuate/flee/BO.

This is my solution. Yes they are on display but no I do not worry about someone breaking in and stealing them.

I use an old 24" Panasonic Case, it was originally made to hold sound gear but it fits my knives pretty comfortably

Got the same tool box,money made by husky and I feel its the best way to store knives.
And can be found at Home Depot or lowes for $40
