Knife storage

How do you all store your knives? So far all my blades are O1 or old files. Do you put any light oil on the blades or store them with desiccant? Thanks, dan
 
Especially with my carbon steel knives I coat them with oil, typically mineral oil only because if I use the knife with food I do not want to try to remember what type of oil I used. No desiccant though both places I live are within 100 yards of salt water.
 
I have been storing most of my non-stainless fixed blades inside zippered knife tacos. I let them patina to provide some corrosion protection but also coat some with Marine Tuf-Cloth, some with Ren Wax and others that might be used for food prep with Frog Lube. Some of the tacos are kept in a gun safe which has dessicant in it. Most of my traditional folders are stored inside machinists chests with dessicant or in silicone impregnated Sac Up cases.
