Knife stores in Ecuador?

I enjoy visiting knife stores while traveling overseas. They often sell knives that are difficult to buy in the US, often have excellent custom knives from locals, and their prices are usually great.

I'm off to Quito, Ecuador this summer. I visited there last year, but was not able to find a good store. Nothing comes up on the web. Does anybody know of a store or custom maker in the Quito area?
 
For great info in Ecuador try the South American Explorers club, I don't know if they will have info on knife stores, but they can point you to some camping stores for sure and will be very helpfull.

September follow-up notice for completion. I did make the trip to Ecuador and found a few knife stores in Quito. But there were none that sold quality custom knives from the region, none that sold vintage knives, and only 1 that sold European knives other than Swiss Army knives. I found a specialty store in the mall at Quicentro that sold a line of Boker Knives, but nothing more. Unlike Costa Rica, nobody stocked automatic knives or cool custom knives.

I tried some local markets in the Amazon region (Coca, Ecuador), but only found imports. Not a knife Mecca!
