Knife stores in NY

I recently moved to New York to start my career and I have no idea where to find a good knife store. I came from conecticut and I knew all the stores there that carried high quality blades. So now I am making more money than ever before and have nothing to spend it on. I know that I can buy any knife I want on the Internet but I usualy would check out particular models in the local store to make sure I like them and then order them for much cheaper on the net. So if you guys know any stores that have a wide range of QUALITY knives on long island or in the city let me know. I would love to find a store that has a great selection and reasonable prices. If you guys just know a mall store with rediculas prices I will just use it to check out the new models. The brands I like are: Microtech, William Henry, Benchmade, Emerson, Spyderco, and CRK. I have been looking especialy for a place that has William henry and CRK. I would like to buy either a Sebbie or a spearpoint but would like see one in person first.
Thanks in advance.

I recently asked the smae question. Try this link http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=314108 I hope I did this link thing right. Im knida of an idiot when it comes to linking and quoting other posts. As far as handling a Sebbie, I dont think your gonna have much luck finding on in a store in NYC. Finding a local group of knife collectors and going to a meeting might be the best bet at handling some higher end blades.
Paragon Sports (on Broadway and 18th St.) has a good collection of very price stuff, but if all you wanna do is look, its fine.

27th Annual New York Custom Knife Show
November 12-13-14, 2004
Hotel Pennsylvania
401 7th Ave. (at 33rd St.), New York, NY
1 day pass- $15, 3 day pass- $20
Fri- 12 pm- 8 pm
Sat- 9 am- 6 pm
Sun- 9 am- 3pm

While this is a custom knife show, past history tells us that there will also be a few dealers that carry production stuff. I woud check with the promoter for info on a list of exhibitors: Stephen D' Lack (417) 335- 2170 hg_inc@hotmail.com

And know that many of the our own and other members of other knife community forums will be attending. No doubt they will have quite a few blades to swap/ sell. Keep an eye on developing threads concerning this show.

Sky, see ya in a month. :)

You won't see Chris Reeve at the NYCKS, but plenty of dealer will have Sebenzas on hand for you to try out.

Bali's, on the other hand is a hit and miss.

why isn't reeve at the show... he was there two years ago (but might have missed it last year). He's always a pleasure to chat with.

Actually, it may have been a negative professional relationship between the promoter and Chris Reeve. Change of venue, seperate showrooms, poor lighting, reduced show days, etc. So yes, probably not enough return investment being one of the results. Boink, Tony- see you both there!

This was the reason Chris gave me for not coming to NY. He always does well at the NY shows, so the return on investment was never an issue.

See you there. I'll be behind Bob Lum's table as always. See you behind Dozier's table.
