Knife suggestion wanted .

I just lost my EDC it wasn't a busse but it was a favorite.

I decided to come over here and ask your opinions.

About blade size . should be no more then 2.5 in ( quasi legal in japan)

handle I guess around 3 in.

preferably bomb proof with a great edge holding ability as i am challenged when it comes to sharpening .
And suggestions of knives i can find in japan are an extra plus.

Stumper... Most Busse knives exceed 2.5"... Even the Hack Bear Cubs are at least 2-5/8", and the old 3Fingers and Police Recruits are also a tad longer than 2 and a half on the blade size...at least mine are.

I think that your best bet is gonna be the Assault Shaker. It looks to be about 2.5", and they are .25" thick (most of them) and about 5-5/8" long.

I know this is the Busse forum (I would have PM'd but you don't have that option), but contact Coty Handley and order one of his TOK's in 3V. Tell him about the blade length restriction and I'm sure he can build it to those specs. It's by far, the best feeling small fixed blade I've had in my hands.

I had to sell all my small Busse-kin because my hands are too big. I LOVES me some B-kin choppers though!!!!!!

Not being able to sharpen a knife is like owning a high end sports car with a 1 tank of gas limit.....what do you do when you run out, or in your case get dull?!

Seriously though , I can get a workable edge but nothing razor like.

This is the only forum I post in , love the knives and you lot are slightly more civilized then the animals which inhabit the other areas.

Sure do... My shortest Busse blade is the Combat Recruit and Police Recruit and they are 2 3/4".

Kim also did a tanto and a few other variations of this one. Blade is 2.5" and 5.75" overall. Just about what you asked for.

And some folks use a rope lanyard on their knives, I prefer a knife lanyard!!!
