Hey guys,

Haven't posted in ages. Been busy with a fairly new career as a photographer over the last two years. I need some suggestions from you guys on a knife for my Birthday in the next week.

Here's some guidelines:

- $350ish or under
- 4" or under blade length
- Preferably a folder although relatively concealable fixed blades are fine as well
- Relatively corrosion resistant with solid edge retention
- No automatics
- Not interested in the gentleman's folder type knives for this particular purchase.

I haven't bought a knife in over two years so I figure I'll pick up a nice one for my Birthday. Thanks in advance!

Not knowing what you already have or your price range, I'd take a look at these:

Buck Vantage
Spyderco Manix 2
Benchmade Bone Collector 15020

There are lots of possibilities in that price range. Strider, lightly used CRK, Spydercos with really fancy steels, Microtech, etc. I will recommend the Protech Integrity. It is the TR-3 in a manual Ti framelock setup instead of an auto. I have a custom shop model that I love. Not quite on par with a Sebenza, but near enough it makes no practical difference. Plus it feels much better in the hand.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

The bulk of my collection is Emersons right now. Two combat karambits and an Emerson/Kershaw Super Commander auto. I've got a couple of Kershaws and a Benchmade as well.

I'm interested in something in a similar vein to the Emersons.

Just randomly, these are a few non-gentlemen folders off my current list.
Benchmade / Matt's shooting supply LE 707 in M390 (these are very LE and soon-to-be sold out)
Spyderco Caly 3.5 ZDP
Benchmade 94x Osborne (I prefer the 943)

Also since you seem to be into SD type blade the spyderco P'Kal is a hell of a knife.
