Hello all. I need a knife suggestion from you guys, because I have been a bit overwhelmed in my search for the right knife for me. I am a runner, and our small town has had some troubles recently. Im looking for something lightweight and unobtrusive that I could take with me on my runs. Preferably within the 100$, too. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I run with my kershaw skyline good sized blade light weight and cheap if you lose it.

I do trail running with a CS Large Voyager and occasionally a pistol. Difference between a 2 ounce knife and an 8 ounce knife is meaningless unless you are clipping them to some silk boxers.

Kershaw Skyline
Spyderco Delica 4
Spyderco Endura 4
Spyderco Paramilitary 2
Benchmade 940

Spyderco Manix 2 lightweight or Spyderco Endura 4.

Manix 2 Lightwieght was the first thing that came to my mind. Lots of knife for the weight.

That said, it sounds like you're interested in using the knife for self defense. May I suggest that you buy some pepper spray instead? It'll probably work better for you, keep you on the right side of the law, and it's good and light as well.

If you are a runner, and your town is having "troubles"....run away from them. Maybe do some wind sprint work.

If you want a knife and are considering fixed blade, a Shrade Sharpfinger is light and a classic for dealing with "troubles."

Thanks for the replies guys! I think im gonna go Spyderco on this one. They all look so good!

When I could still jog (before the new hip) I packed a large CS Voyager tanto. Now that I can only walk fast, I pack a large CS Voyager tanto :D .

the lightweight spyderco native frn is hands down the best running knife. clip it to the waistband of your shorts and you won't know it's there, the choil on the blade makes this small handled knife have the grip of a larger knife.

should be able to find them for about seventy bucks, used to be fifty.

Spyderco Pacific Salt. Clip it on your waistband and you don't have to worry about rusting from your sweat because H1 is rustproof.

Alright guys it looks im going with the Spyderco Native. It looks pretty sweet. Thanks again for all the suggestions!

Bnchmade 530. Awesome little knife and thin as you get, plus weighs nothing, and sub 100.00.

BTW, Where the heck do you BF people run that you need to carry a knife?
