Knife Supply a poor choice?

Suffering from a short temper, I will try and cool down before venting.

I have been researching which RAT I was going to invest in next. I chose the Izula. Watched YouTube wrapping videos, eBay'd some hard to find reflective para cord, some additional orange para, and counted my change in order to purchase the knife.

Searched all of the dealers listed on the RAT site. KinifeSupply had the tan Izula for $46 and the Fire Starter for $20. Great, combine shipping and pull the trigger on both.

That was on Tuesday. Credit card has never been charged. Calls into the shop, no reply. No email reply either.

Would have ordered the knife elsewhere for a few more bucks due to the anticipation.

Am I missing something?

Hey buddy, there was a post about this with me and another guy on pg3. My voice/email was not answered for a few days but then got a reply and a very fast ship... less than a week. I think they are a small operation but the mod's around here and myself think well of them. If you have not been charged or contacted they are probably busy with life or work.
Patience and I am sure they will rectify. Sucks to wait, I understand the fever as I just got an rtakII and rc-4orange from them.

Good day and regards
Brad

What Brad said, but also...You may want to ping them and verify that they are both in stock, so you can anticipate the lead time and all. I always ask if the knife I am ordering is in stock, meaning on their shelf ready to box and ship.

You'll get them. I too think its a VERY small operation. I got what I ordered from them before without problems. I also will be a return customer

I would not worry to much being CC was not charged... give it a few more days . Thanks for opting for the RC products !

Thanks for listening.

On the "ping", I certainly would have confirmed if they were in stock, if I had known how. The only Ping I know is a line of golf clubs.....and I don't golf.

I guess I am technically un-advanced, seeing as I am searching for a T-Shirt to mirror my personality. It says "I may not be smart, but I can lift heavy things"

Need the Barney-ized version.....

And there will be more RATs but I can only afford 1 per month.

It's frustrating when you make a purchase and nothing happens. It's even more frustrating when nothing happens and then emails and phone calls aren't answered.
Sooner or later you'll have your Izula and this will be resolved. In the future you might consider not shopping every purchase, instead find a retailer that you like doing business with and stick with them.

I've ordered stuff from them. KS is good people. They have a tendancy to get a little behind on the phone calls and such, but they don't screw anybody.

In my excitement I made a thread about ordering my RC-4 from knifesupply. I messed up on my credit card and emailed them right away then called during their office hours the next day. I kept getting the voice mail, left one, then called a couple of more times. Still no response. Not very cool.

I just received the RAT Firesteel from Knifesupply to go in my RC-5 pouch. Very timely shipping and they didn't charge my CC until it shipped. I know this is the RAT forum, but I bought a BRKT Bravo-1 from them a few months ago and got the same good service. They seem not to communicate too well, but they get the product out to their customers it seems.

i wouldn't worry so much but i entered something wrong for my credit card info so i don't know if they got my email or not.

Thanks again. I am not really worried at all about getting hosed on the cash.

I am pist that I wanted it within 3 days of ordering it. I paid $7.95 in S+H. I have been stewing over which knife to purchase for some time, and again, being short on cash making monthly payments to the Wicked Witch of the West, a new knife is a big deal to me.

I made my selection and was anxious to get it. Also, having eBay'd the relfective para cord to wrap it, I was half staff while placing the order. Was just excited to get it here.

Agreed and lesson learned on the supplier. Still learning at 37.....

Ha, I wish I had that problem, hehe. I had to wait a while for my Izula's & firekits but they shipped out yesterday and my RC5 should ship early next week. The wait is killer I know.

I went thru the extact same thing with them, my RC-3 shipped a week after I put in the order. I got the knife, all is well. It did take alot longer than I expected and the no contact had me worried.

well everything I have ordered was with KSF and no complaints. you will probably break even with other companies but they have always been crazy fast with getting things shipped out.

For what it's worth, us small operations DO get behind on emails and such on occassion... whether it is from life, a sudden influx of orders and emails, or the second job we often work until our business is large enough to pay all the bills. With what others here have said about these folks, I am sure one of the above applies and they will get back with you as soon as they are able.
