Many email me and ask for Lloyd Harding's templates and other patterns. Lloyd's templates were hosted on several sites, but none of those seem to be up anymore.

Here is what we have so far ( thanks Count):
Lloyd harding patterns:

Bob Engnath had a lot of patterns,too. His patterns can be found ;
http://www.engnath.com/intable.htm
Click the book laying flat and showing the pages. It takes you to the templates. The sidebar on that page shows styles to choose from.

Lonepine's patterns:

OK, now we can make this an interactive forum.
Let's keep them comming, guys. I will try and gather them and store them in the stickies.

Thanks, several years ago I looked through Bob's patterns and got a lot of inspiration. I did make subtle changes to fit my style and abilities and equipment, but it sure beat starting from scratch. I hope everyone downloads these patterns whether they need them or not, and pass them on. It'd be a shame for them to be lost.

Thanks again.

There is a link to LLoyds patterns in the google books - E books thread that I link to in the standard reply.

The problem is that the data may disappear from rapidshare and similar sites -if it is dormant for a time.

The Loveless book too - in the same e book thread

This is a good thread. Maybe this should be added to the newbies sticky. One other source of inspiration for me is other makers web sites. I do not sell knives, if I directly copy a design I say so (and ask permission), and have no intention of ever taking business from another maker. Some makers have loads of "stock designs" on their site as just drawings which make it easy to use for inspiration. Like has been said before, it's not likely that we will be doing anything new in design, just be sure to give credit where credit is due. I won't name the sites I use, because I don't want those makers getting burned in a deal or anything.

How would i go about making a large file for patterns? I have about 300 i need to thin down and upload....Will get on it in the morning.

One of the geeks can answer better than I, but the basic way is to host them somewhere in a file, and link to the file. The location must be someplace fairly permanent or they will go away with time. If you have a permanent website of your own, that would be the logical host site.

Count,
I put that link on the list, but have to say that I hate ( and generally delete) any sites that try to lock you into some spam or phishing site other than the one you want. When I want to see knife patterns, I don't want to be the "Winner from Virginia" for a new computer/$500/etc. or watch porno on the sidebar while downloading the files. Some of these sites are nearly impossible to navigate away from, as they lock your browser on them and their drop down offers. I understand that this is how they make money, but they aren't going to make it from me.

I completely agree with you.

I use the browser Firefox with the Adblock Plus 1.3.9 add in.

I use IE just once to download Firefox.

It blocks all that advertising - I just never see any of it
No flashing blinking moving crap, no full volume screaming cartoons, no pornlike images that will get me in trouble on public computers,
... no windows floating over the others that I can't close, just clean empty space.

Mediafire seems to be one of the better ones, as the files stay around longer than the others & don't try to sell me 5 different kinds of account subscriptions.
If there is anything better I would gladly switch.

That last PDF is small enough that you as a paid user may be able to create as an attachment directly in BF, but it creates the risk of inactivity at the other link.

I've been looking for good folding knife patterns.

Bill Vining has one for a Texas Toothpick here.

Does anybody else know of full size patterns available for folding knives?
