Hello, I am wanting to dive into making my knife and was wondering if anyone has a template for a couple of knives that I am looking for to model mine from.

Bark River Bravo 1
Bayley S4
ESSE4
Spyderco Bushcraft

I tend to find a photo of the knife I want to attempt that is as close to a perfect profile shot as possible. Then print it out (you may have to adjust the size a couple of times so set to low ink the first go) and cut out the profile of the blade and trace that onto the steel and start grindin'. I think there is a link in the count's new guy post to a bunch of generic templates. Speaking of, you're not likely to find an exact template of a production knife unless someone has already made one and posted it somewhere. If you have the knife you can outline it on the steel like a paper template. I have a RAT3, which I absolutely love, and traced it onto steel. Its not as perfect but you can put some time into it and touch it up.

^^^^^^ You'd have to be looking for something very particular if you can't find a pattern someplace on that website.

Thanks for the tips.
