We tested the Busses first

The DSSF is on loan from "MAX"

I liked it so much I have a deal to buy one from another member

VERY SWEET KNIFE(Even my wife likes it)

I like it better than my Tank Buster.

Charles likes his Hell Razor the best followed by the Tank Buster-then the DSSF.

Again--you GOTTA test to see what feels best in your hand.

We Tested the Big Siegle that Charles owns and Green Handled one of mine

We tested them on Mesquite trees(some old and dead---like chopping concrete)

Both Siegles did great as did the Busse's

The overall winner of the Busse's??

Depends on what you want

The Tank Buster is a Great overall Knife--but HEAVY.I do not think you could damage it without a big hammer.
The Hell Razor is a light and fast knife that is also VERY comfortable.
The DSSF Chops better than it should and feels better than it looks like it will.
Very Surprised and how good it feels and Cuts.
If you try one -I think you will agree.
Charles BIG Siegle is more like a Mini Sword--could chop a mans leg off with it.

Overall--it was a GREAT day to test.

Hope you enjoy the Photos

Great reading and great pics! Thanks!
I'm also very found of my DSSF - great knife and it choppes amazingly well for such a light (as for a Busse) blade. I only wish it had micarta slabs- as I'm not G-10 fan.
I have two tank busters - one 0.25" (standard combat grade version) and one double cut - 0.22" thick. While the 0.25" is indeed a bit too heavy, the 0.22" version is perfect allarounder - lighter with much finer, thinner edge.
That big Siegle is AMAZING! I love it!

That big Siegle chopper is a monster. Makes my hands all itchy to chop something!

Nice pics! Thanks for posting them! :)

When I saw the area I thought to myself "Self, that looks really familiar" ;)

Then I looked at your location, Snyder! I used to live in Lubbock and Anton, no wonder your area looks familiar! :D

Siegle makes a wonderful knife, one of the best. Which reminds me, I need to remind him of some work we talked about a while back, I want a hoodlum badly.

Nice one Doc.

I have a Hoodlum being built as we speak from Bill. Looking forward to finally handling one.

Cool review Bill! I love my DSSF too! Mine has become my goto Busse :) It's "enough" knife. It's big enough to chop, small enough to carry, and balanced enough to throw superbly! My little guy tried throwing one of my heavier throwers but his 10 year old arms weren't getting it done. I let him break the minty fresh DSSF's cherry throwing it up around River8"s neck of the woods :D Definitely good times!

I agree Bill---

Jerry hit it out of the park with the DSSF

Thanks to you BOTH for making Knives a man can count on...
