I have slowly come to the conclusion that my favorite knife is indeed the Zulu/Tribal Spear pattern popularized by Tony Bose, and emulated by countless custom knife makers. I have two of the Case collaborations, and want to get more, I actually am working on getting a custom Zulu pattern from a maker.

I seem to remember that the Zulu pattern is based on an old Schrade pattern. Does anyone have one of these knives, or at least an ad, to share? I always enjoy seeing where the inspiration came from :D.

Here you go Dan!

And that's what makes this forum so amazing. Thanks for that post, Charlie!

Charlie, I truly envy you. When I grow up I want to have a collection just like yours.:D

Charlie-- what a post!!

Wowzers. I was happy just seeing the "catalog cut," but to scroll further and see the knife itself?

Sweetness. :)

That sums up my feelings as well! Thank You once again Charlie:thumbup:

You are all welcome.
We are all lucky that a few examples exist. I am sure many more knives in that catalog have fallen by the wayside, or are stashed away, never to see the light of day until there is an estate!
Sigh . . . . . . .

Take a look at the "AG Russell Curved Regular Jack" from his catalog or site. It comes with a Zulu spear blade based upon the Schrade as well.
