knife throwing advice

This ai Alicia, J.P.'s wife. My husband recently received 4 throwing knives that he has given me for our anniversary (early as it is next month) and i would love any advice on the proper methods of training with them. my husband has given me the basics but i will need to know any and all ways to train as i wish to become proficent in the art of throwing knives. any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. also, could anyone tell me anything specific i should use for targets, we live in the country so i don't have to worry about hitting anyone or anything, thank goodness!

I found an excellent book on the subject:

"The Art of Throwing Weapons" by James W. Madden.

I did a quick search just now and got 75 hits for it, including Amazon.com, so you should still be able to get a copy.
