If you can not carry a firearm or Bear Spray, what knife, either type or model, would you carry in the woods where occasional bear attacks have been reported.
Double edged daggers, and sharpened swedges are not permitted either. Unfortunately this means no "pig stickers" which I personally think would be ideal.
Already recognizing that any knife is a total last resort if attacked and retreat is not possible. And that your non-weapon arm may have to be sacrificed
while your knife arm is deployed.

This one.

Thats a really beautiful knife. I don't know much about the maker or what INFI actually is but I'll have to take a look. I couldn't find the weight of this model though.

If I were looking at a knife for this specific purpose, I’d be looking hard at the Tops Wild Pig Hunter - rigid blade, nice full guard and great traction on the handle. As you said, a pig-sticker is probably ideal, and this particular one is only single-edged. Also go ahead and carry bear spray too though yeah?
Otherwise, a 6-8” pointy, rigid blade with a nice full guard and great traction on the handle… ;)
