First post! lol
So I got my first case knife the other day and as I have been using it it has become increasingly harder to open, is there anyway to make it open easier without destroying the knife? On a side note the blade feels a little loose but i don't think there would be any way to fix that but any help is appreciated.

it could be gunked up with the buffing compund (when they finish the knife) Dunno
There shouldnt be any blade play on a new knife:confused: On an old knife thats one thing but not new.
What pattern is it?
where did ya get it?
As a plan B you could send it back to Case, i would try to deal with whoever you bught it from first, then Case
Good Luck to ya

Try washing it out really good, even soap and hot water, but make sure you dry it good. then spray some WD40 or oil in the joint. if that doesn't work then i think you would have to send it back. Good luck!

This is the knife and the site I got it from. I put some knife oil for sharpening in the hinge and it loosened it up considerably well but I still am worried about all the play in the blade and am not sure if I should send it off or not, and if I should send it to case or this other company.

cool russlock! I bought one for my son for Christmas, blade play is not normal and if you are worried about it i would contact who you bought it from. (caseknifeoutlet)
No sense putting up with a problem if it bothers you and shouldnt even be there!
As far as hard to open its a tricky knife at first and the more you open it and oil it should work out.
I really like that pattern you don see too many
best of luck
