Knife trainer?

Sorry if this has been asked. Please don't flame.

But does anyone know the legalites for carrying a knife trainer with you? Particularly in CA? For example, what if I had one of those emerson folder trainers and a police officer stops me, would he have a problem with that?

ca knife laws dont specifically address trainers. i think it would depend, if it is a flimsy rubber one, likely no problem. harder plastic, ie capable of penetrating flesh, maybe. metal, like the emerson trainers, again, probably capable of penetrating flesh with enough force, so maybe.

also your intent in carrying it would be considered. why would you want to carry a trainer? are you coming from/going to a self defense class? if thats the case, shouldnt be any problem
