I'm hosting Michael Janich as he teaches his Martial Blade Concepts class levels one and two in Amarillo, Texas. The classes will be Saturday and Sunday May 14th and 15th.

Mike is a super instructor. If you haven't taken one of his classes you really must. He's taken many of the traditional knife-based self defense forms from the Philipines and boiled them down into a simple and fast to learn system. In a weekend, a student can go from novice to extremely effective with a knife.

It makes a lot of sense too. You can spend years learning to defend yourself with empty hands and only begin to touch the level of effectiveness you'll have with a knife. Carry a gun? Well, a knife can help you to keep the gun from being snatched away. Also, do you ever go someplace where you're not allowed to carry a gun? I do . . . and my knife goes with me.

I've got slots available for the class and would like to see Bladeforums represented in the class makeup. If you've ever thought about learning to use a knife to defend yourself, give me a call. 806-517-0794
