Knife Trick.

Mmmmh.
Truly unforgettable however is The Joker's knife trick in the latest batman movie...

I don't remember the Joker's knife trick. I do remember his disappearing pencil trick, which was uber cool.

Is it just me or did it seem like he might have sped up the film speed? When he was supposedly going faster?

Riffraff is correct. That is a very old game called Mumbletypeg. It was actually a gambling game waaaaaaaaaay back in the day. I'm not exactly sure how many sat at a table, but a few guys would sit around a table and start going as fast as they could. The crazy part is that the loser was not the first guy to draw blood or even the first guy to lose a finger. The winner was the last guy to call it quits!

Hehe we did that alot back in my school days, it was a fun game for young boys.
I remember we had this one guy who wanted to, but he just did not have the skill for it.
he was trying to learn with an old butter knife and his hand was a bloody mess by the time we would get the knife away from him.

We did not think less of him, in fact he gained some esteem that day because stabbing your hand repeatedly with dull butter knife is painful like hell and he did not slow down because of it.
Young boys usually have more balls then brain

One thing that I remember to this day is that not a single slipjoint ever closed on anybody hands doing this.
These days I EDC slipjoints and I have never worried about the lack of a lock.

Mumbley Peg is a game where you flip the knife off your finger into the dirt (so that it sticks.) Then you move on to flipping in off your wrist, then elbow, then shoulder.

Oops, indeed I remembered wrongly, it was indeed the disappearing pencil trick.
