i just bought a couple of knives from the same manufacturer who offers a lifetime warantee. why should i fill out the form that comes with the knife (which looks more like a market survey, than a warantee)? the knifes have no serial #'s. i'm kinda wary of giving out personal information (why would a knife manufacturer need to know my annual income?)
thanks

Unless it specifically says that you must send in the card to activate your warranty I wouldn't worry about it. You do not need to give them any of that information if you do not wish. I don't beleive that a company can make you send anything in for a warranty, they just like to make it look that way so people will send in those forms. I've never sent one in for a knife and have never had problems.

That kind of information can be used to help with decisions on models, for example if 90% of your customer base makes <20$k it is very different than if 90% makes >50$k when you are thinking about offering a g10/S90V version of some blade.
