Real Talk.

Great Post Bro..

Gangster Love from your boy in Texas.

Y'all are some sick mofos! Keep it up. Much love from the 559.

(when I say sick I mean it in a Brotha Lynch sorta way)

Mike,
i dont agree with this gangsta type marketing.. Because i am a teacher i see the trap that many children, as young as 10 yrs old, fall into. It is a culture that victimizes and robs them of a future.

Yea, they used to blame James Dean back in the 50's for robbing the future of children. It was Ozzy Osbourne that was making kids do bad things when I was growing up.

I like to watch TV also did you see that episode of the wire where this kid confides in his teacher about a murder he knows about. The teacher promptly informs the police. To make a long story short they find out he is a snitch and the cops fail to protect him. His house gets fire bombed and his foster mother too badly burned to care for him anymore.

He winds up in a group home that is like a prison for being a good citizen where he is marked as a snitch and beaten up. The next time a detective comes to question him and threatens to lock him up he sarcastically asks him if he will be able to get him out of where he is and then promptly reminds the detective that his job is to trick dumb "*&##@!$"

I know a friend who is a medic who knew of a very young teenager who confided in the police he wound up picking his body up the next day.

Who is going to protect these kids who are growing up in drug dealing zones full of poverty stricken addicts who can't afford to maintain their addiction. I doubt the teacher is really going to do jack if the cops do next to nothing. Kids who live in these places are not even legally allowed to take any serious steps to insure their own safety since they will be arrested for it.

The bad guys here is the system and the gangsters are half right in that they are banding together to protect themselves but have been lured by materialism and money into selling out their principles. They have been hijacked by the people exploiting them and getting rich off their misery.

Mr Olmos made a movie called American Me which I felt was a portrayal of the situation. His movie cost the lives of some of the people involved in it's making since the Mexican Mafia retaliated by killing them proof that these people fought a good fight since the situation is so serious that any real intervention is going to cause casualties. Even though the movie was very violent it's content and message is high quality as well as though provoking like Olmos's other movies.

Intervention programs are a dime a dozen these days, all over the place like flies, and so are gangs, drugs, corruption, and whatever. I don't see much casualties among the "interveners" but that only backs up the obvious that among minorities it is still business as usual. I have to conclude that they are just an extension of a corrupt system which includes the unjust courts, the racist run schools, the crooked police officials, political leaders who steal, lie, and produce fraudulent statistics.

When was the last time you saw a class on constitutional rights being taught in class to these kids. If anyone needs it the most it is them. The schools are constantly trying to teach them to be dependent on others to determine what is in their best interests.

The constitution teaches that the Government (the system) is not on par with God and very clearly implies that you are NOT TO PUT YOUR FAITH IN AUTHORITY let alone having it become your religious faith. Whoever is against constitutional values is against american values and ultimately americans in general. The framework of the constitution is checks and balances and these people need to have active roles in positions of power and their own governing in general.

Mike doesnt need to do this type marketing to advertise or sell his work.. But BECAUSE he wants to do it, what is the message?

Thanks Mike. I appreciate your remarks as well. You have a humble attitude in many things.
Good luck to you.

It all comes down to the responcibility of the individual on how one lives their life. You can't put the blame on this or that. Mr. S makes a quality blade and his designs are cutting edge ( pardon the pun). If rap music gives him inspiration to fuel his creativity so be it. I like rap, opera, rock, heavy metal and you can even kick in a polka or 2. Hey thats what makes the world go round.

Hi, Mike. I like your style and I can relate. I'm young from South Florida. Most knife makers fall into a similar category and have a similar mindset. Your style is unique and it reflects in the knives that you make.

As for the video nice knives. I like lil boosie man it's a shame that he caught a murder1. He was a talented rapper and his lyrics were real from life experience as he proved.

Keep doing you.
