Knife wet.

OK, I received a knife in the mail (Damascus steel) and the box had gotten wet. The knife nor sheath had any dampness on them, but the USPS, sealed the wet box in plastic, so I am sure there was some moisture impact of some kind. What should I do do ensure I don't get any rust or other god-awful stuff on my new blade.

Thanks a lot.

Stick it in a container of dry white rice overnight. That should soak up any rogue moisture.

WD 40 is the preferred method to displace moisture. Just soak liberally, then dry with a paper towel.
