I hope that I'm not going crazy but I seem to remember seeing a picture of a custom fixed blade where the person had the maker put a shield on both sides of the handle. I can not remember exactly where I saw it but it had to have been within the traditional forum somewhere as I don't venture far from here.
If anyone can help me out, especially if you're the owner, it would be very appreciated! I'm wondering how the shield was affixed to both sides. I'm guessing that the shields were epoxied in or was there someway that they were pinned as well.
If this was a slipjoint however, then yes I'm going crazy but I'd like to see the picture again anyhow to ease my mind since I can not find it. It makes sense that it could have been a folder since the shields would be pinned through the liners.
Thanks!!
