A number of months ago I posted a thread that I was "taking the plunge" and was going to start writing about my passion for pocket knives. Well, I am very proud to report that my first article is on the cover of Knife World Mag for Jan 06. I wanted to first thank you people for your encouragement and support to do this. I am writing several others and I am even considering the possiblity of an informational book sometime in the near future. Let me know what you think of it. I am sure you will all be honest with your comments. I own all the knives shown but one of the Baldwin Knives. What a wonderful New Years present, Imagine my surprise when I opened my mail and saw my article on the front page. "their is a knife God afterall" Thanks friends, this has made my day. ;)

Congratulations! Will have to pick one up and have a look see.Sounds like a Happy New Year has started early for ya' but I'd like to wish you a Happy New Year anyhow. :D Doug.

Congratulations, Knife World is one of my favorite periodicals, I'll be looking forward to reading it, it should be here by the weeks end.

I've thought about doing the same thing, maybe you'll give me the push I need to send in an article.

Congrats PA on getting your article published!
Good luck on your possible upcoming book!:D

I have a new reason to look forward to getting my Jan Issue. Great for you, paknives!

This is one reason 'Knife World' is my favorite knife magazine: Editor Mark Zalesky is not afraid to give new authors a chance. Not the standard puff pieces by the usual suspects with one eye on the advbertising accounts.

Congrats!
Phil

Only two items that arrive in my mail box on a monthly basis get me to drive accross 5 miles of cypress swamp up to the town Post Office: Knife Wold & Blade..

God Bless you PA for your contribution to KW this month as I look very much forward to reading it!.. Great Job!

What a great group of people all of you are. I hope that others take the plunge and let others share your knowledge. It was certainly fun and of course I plan on more. I just got out of the hospital from major operation and doing well so far. :( I will now have time to work on the next article. Happy New Year and thanks again for all of your comments. More to come:)

Hey David,
'Little Town with a Big History' was extremely impressive! Was this really your first ever published article on the subject? I thought you came off as a seasoned professional. I thoroughly enjoyed it! A good journalist first does they're research by visiting and interviewing the folks at the location where the story takes place. Then collecting all the data, photographs and information about the subject for the purpose of writing and expessing in there own words and writing style the facts and consequences of the story event. In my opinion, you captured the very essence of the purest knife collectors fascination with this fine hobby or in my case addiction, while writing this wonderful piece on Tidioute.

Very much looking forward to reading your next article. Best of luck and continued success to Knife Worlds newest contributing author and writer in 2006. What a great way to start off the new year.

Blessings,
Anthony

This is a great group of knife knuts. I truly appreciate all of your positive comments. I encourage you to contact knife world and express you pleasure not only with the article but with the magazine it self. They do an awesome job of putting together items of interest to all of the knife poeple out there. If you don't already subscribe I know that they offer a free copy to first timers.
