The latest Knife World takes a slap at AKTI. They feel AKTI hasn't done much and mainly represents the interests/views of a few manufactures. They do say to join because its better than nothing.

They also take a swipe at knife names that draw negative attention and magazines with names like "TACTICAL KNIVES", etc.

Mike is correct. AKTI needs to build a momentum. You can get a state legislator's attention when you tell him that there are 5000 - 10000 members in his area that are going to want an explanation for blowing off AKTI recommendation.

We are on our way to wielding that kind of power and our energies are being spent trying to build that membership base.
