Here's a question: why the thumb stud? Is that a recent thing, or were all the 2's "studded"? It's an interesting look, being used to the disc.
 
All the V2's that I have seen (not that many out there) have the thumb stud. Its a small package and the ergonomics work nicely.
 
It's a size thing I believe. Look how big the pivot looks on that little knife. A disk would be overbearing.

Yeah, that would make sense... so is the V2 to the V1 like the CQC5 is to the CQC6?
