well i have been thinking about this for years, and if bill gates spent as much money on knife research as he did on that stupid electronics company he owns....we would all have knives that would NEVER get dull, cost next to nothing, stop working for no apparent reason, and be obsolete in a year. what would be much better however..would be for him to give about 1 million to a whole bunch of knifemakers (like me of course) so we could quit working and spend all of our time coming up with trick prototypes and funny looking gadgets that are really knives. what do you think?????

I think you should get better ventilation in your shop and slow down on the coffee.

I dunno. I'm afraid if you develop a knife that way it'll keep stopping halfway through a cut and you'll have to close the blade and reopen it before you can cut a little more ... and then it'll stop cutting again....

Rather than Bill Gates, I think you should go after Uncle Tax. How about,
Federal Grants to Knife Makers?
No Tax on Talonite!
Steel Subsidies!

well, if you saw my story on the smith forum, my shop fan is dead...and if i stopped drinking coffee my output would drop to around one knife a week. i hope all of you realize that coffee is the reason we are the leader of the free world.
