Ahem... clean your PC with ccleaner first.. Run adaware & clean anything it finds.. both free & good programs! Then do a Defrag after a Restart. You should be fine now! The same has happened to me on a few occasions.

good advice but add spybot search destroy to the programs you download. it's free and on occasion it catches things adaware missed. good luck,ahgar

Make sure you download some type of "Winsock fix" before you run any adaware type program. Place it on your desktop or somewhere where you can find it easy. Spyware can register your winsock and tcp/ip stack with different dlls. and when they're removed will kill your internet connection. Download more than one version of a winsockfix program just in case. Type in "winsock fix" in Google and pick up a few that will work for your operating system.
