Knifekits pocket clips compatibility

Anyone know if the fold-over pocket clips at Knifekits.com are compatible with Spyderco's, Kershaws, etc...? I move around a lot at work, and my heavier/longer knives get clipped in the back right pocket. Just looking for options on longer clips with slightly deeper carry for knife retention, visibility is not an issue.

I found an older (probably 7+ years old) version of what looks like the KnifeKits model 18, KKFOCLP. The holes look like they would line up and fit on my Tenacious. My other Spydercos (Dragonfly G10, and Sage I have wire clips). The holes don't line up on my Mini Dejavoo, Kershaw Chill, and Kershaw Half Ton.

One thing you might consider if the screw holes do not match is to drill and tap your own holes to mount the clip. I've done this to a couple of mine. On a few of them, it took a little more planning so I could thread into the liner and still leave the thong hole clear.

Ever though of making your own? I've seen some tutorials on making your own clips, then hole spacing wouldn't be and issue.

Do you have a specific knife in mind?

Thanks. I was looking at them for a Tenacious, Pm2, and the 550. Also just got a bone collector that I found pretty cheap.

Making my own clip is probably out. I have brand new twins at home and work six days a week, so free time is at a premium right now. Usually either doing the fix it jobs around the house.

I'll put in an order for a couple of the models and see how they work out. Thanks again.

Congratulations on the twins! Kids are a lot of fun. I have four kids, the youngest is 13.

Yeah, we're having a blast even with no sleep. No time for anything else, though. Our boys decided to come super early, and I still haven't had time to replace our gate from when the nasty wind storm hit the LA area in December. ;-)

Phydeaux, just ordered a couple Ti clips from USA knifemaker, probably trying out the knifekits ones next week. Thanks for the input.

Let us know how the clips work out.

Sometimes i use a lanyard with a snap hook. The snap hook gets clipped to a belt loop and the lanyard is long enough to put the knife in my pocket, but not settle in the bottom. when I want the knife, i unclip the snap hook and pull the knife out of my pocket. This arrangement also makes it harder to loose the knife.

I might have to check that system out as well. I have quite a few broken wallet chains with the leather snap laying around. Wouldn't be hard to replace the chain with some cord. Or chain that I haven't broken yet. Thanks again.
