Knifemaker Database

thanks, Buddy, that is a link I did not have. Keith is keeping secrets lol. I am looking at the sites and adding to my vast collection of sites.

Murray, at first I thought you were calling me "Buddy" as in pal or friend. Then I realized that you probably are confusing me with well known knife guy, Buddy Thomason. I am Rob Thomason, no relation.

Yeah, no relation (and I am sure Buddy is happy about that :p), but a lot in common as far as good folks.:D

Greetings gentlemen, and Gus. ;)
Murray, I'm honored to be confused with such a handsome guy as Rob!
Rob - Thanks for the link above. I always appreciate your posts. We may well be related somehow and if so, my condolences to your progeny. When we were first married, 'my attractive wife' thought I was joking when I mentioned "bad Viking gene pool." Now she says "not funny any more." I just try and reassure her it's nothing a new knife won't fix. :D

Hey guys. I was looking at the recent visitors from my site, http://KnifeMakersDatabase.com and noticed some hits coming from a thread in blade forums. I've been a member of the forum for some time, but have not recently participated due to putting all my efforts into the construction of KMD. I thought since I saw Thomason posted this thread that I'd introduce myself.

My name is Joseph Clements (Joe is fine) and I'm the owner of KnifeMakersDatabase.com. I hop you all find the site useful. It’s still in the works, but we plan to introduce a lot of new content, information as well as knives for sale in the near future.

I'd love some feedback about what you think and suggestions for what you would like to see, improvement, etc. Criticism is not only acceptable - it’s needed. Much of KnifeMakersDatabase.com is built on past suggestions and criticisms from members of the knife community.

I live in NY and regularly attend the East Coast Show and the New York Custom Show. I've loved knives for I cant remember how long and mainly focus on adding new knives that catch my interest to my collection and working on the site. I prefer hand-forged blades by ABS knifemakers, but I also love art folding knives, tacticals, balisongs and autos as well.

Next up is a take down bowie by Karl Anderson (hand forged - an incredible knife) and 2 knives I bought at the East Coast Show - one by Elishewitz and a balisong collaboration by Darell Ralph and Warren Thomas - They will be up on the site in the galleries section and will possibly be up for grabs. I also have an AXD Tritium on the way from Darell and 2 hand-forged knives from ABS Journeyman Smith, Rusty Polk.

Well, that’s enough blabbering for now - once I start about knives, I can’t seem to stop when I should! Please, feel free to lend me your thoughts or contact me personally at Joe@KnifeMakersDatabase.com

I'm glad to hear many of you find the site useful. That is my main intention!

Rob,
Thanks for the link.
Not surprised Keith already had it,he'd be my go to guy if I needed to know who was forging Stainless:eek: or how to find just about anyone or anything knife related.
As far as Murray mistaking you and Buddy,I was thinking the same thing yesterday but didn't post. :foot:
Anywho, about the "bad Viking gene pool" thing, hope NV doesn't see this.:D

Doug
