Hi, this isn't my first post here, but I haven't been on this forum for a few years. I just moved to Newington, CT, from Colorado, and will be setting up shop here over the next few weeks.
I was hoping to meet up with some other local makers, I know there is a metal working school with knife classes in Maine, but is anyone else in CT?

Thanks
-Andy

Mace Vitale (VIE-taal-eeee) is in CT, he's got another hammer in coming up soon, and he runs classes for knifemaking at the Guilford art center.

Alright, now that's what I'm talking about! Hammer in sounds great, I'll be there. What's Ashokan?

Ashokan is the annual bladesmith meetup at the Ashokan center in New York, not to far
over the border from Connecticut. This year it's September 16-18 and it's the once every
five years SWORD Ashokan. Widely considered to be the best bladesmith event in the
country. There are a number of threads about it on this forum and others with lots of
pictures.

Bill Hoffman in Coventry. Open forge, give me a call. 860-742-6696.:)

IG's hammer-ins are world famous. Well, his heat treating relish is
world famous. Try some and see G-D.

Ashokan is finestkind. This year is Sword Year. It is the best gathering
around.

Bill
