Knifemaker selling handle material???

I just purchased a lot of Sambar Stag rounds at what I thought was a great price.I did however have to buy more than I really need.Is it OK to sell my surplus as a one time thing without buying a Dealer membership?

I understand that I would need dealer status if I started selling materials regularly but as far as I know this will be once only and probably no more than 10 pieces.

I seem to remember reading that it would be OK but I can't seem to find the thread.
