Knifemaker shop signs! Lets see them..:)

One day I made a big wooden bowie, just for fun. Later I attatched it here:

Nice Terry. It pays to advertise otherwise you would make your own clothing instead of wearing wranglers or such.

I just had a funny thought- remove the mailbox flag, paint the bowie blade red and use it in its place.

Here is Edmund Davidson's sign, down by the roadside,
in front of his house.

Don't have one and don't want one. We have been broken into 4 or 5 times and if we could paint our building invisible we would. We put our shop out in the sticks so we wouldn't have the coffee crowd and do our advertising where the people that buy knives look and will see it. All that being said, we are glad for anyone to drop in...... while we are here. We are not hard to find. You can go on Google Maps and look right down our drive. I think that is what someone did when they stole our 4-wheelers and trailer. You come after dark now, you might meet Rambo.

Whats up with the square on Rambo's shell? Did he get a patch up job on his shell? That spot sticks out like a sore thumb.

We stuck a little brass plate (I know some around here would have used stainless, but it is what we had) on his back with the year of his first visit to the shop, 2005, stamped on it. He stops back by every year or so just to check us out. Last visit was a month or so ago. This one is not shy; he will try to bite the crap out of you. He might be a little ticked off about the brass plate, but it does fit his shell pretty well. We have done this a few times and it is amazing how they show up after years of roaming.

I didn't intend to sidetrack the thread. Just thought I would post a picture of our free roaming attack turtle. I'll add a picture of our gate and the sign for our cabin where the shop is tomorrow.

This is a picture of the gate and sign to our hunting cabin named Deer Crossing. We give people that are interested a sticker for their window of our logo and we put one on our mail box. Helps people that are looking for us, but doesn't draw unwanted attention. Usually we just tell visitors to turn in at the Deer Crossing sign.

that's awesome!:D
I love turtles.

Since I have a lot of students that come for Bladesmithing Classes, I was more or less forced to put up signs, just so those folks could find me.

This is the sign that is currently located at the end of our driveway. Its in need of replacement because of the harsh Montana winters and winds...

Below is the sign that hangs on the Forging Shop. Remember that harsh Montana weather I mentioned? The arrow indicates where part of the sign has been ripped away because of the winds wrapping the sign around the sign hanger......Next time the sign WILL NOT be made of aluminum!

I don't have a sign out front, but did put a sign on the shop door so folks would know when they could catch me in the shop. ;)

I like that shop sign Chuck! We might want to put something like that on our web site:D We have a shop sign that gets some play from time to time. Usually after the question is posed "Well, which Christmas are you talking about?"

Awesome stuff guys. :D I used to work with a really talented graphic designer who had a sign above his desk: "Fast Turnaround, High Quality, Low Price... Pick Any TWO" ;)
